Sound Animation
ARKANAS (2005)
Five short animations comprise this exploration of myths of creation and evolution.

GENIS beginning the loneliness of differentiation
The first composition in the series, GENIS, was selected for performance at the 2004 meeting of the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the US (SEAMUS), the Third Practice Festival (University of Richmond, Richmond, Virginia) and the 2004 International Computer Music Conference in Miami (Florida).

EYES the distant past the onset of sentience
A study of Rembrandt's "Adam and Eve in the Garden" illustrates a composition drawn from the sound of single sentence: "The eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked."

NES the recent past the prison of dogma
A time-pointed composition based on the theme 9,8,7 (A,G#,G) is heard in a reverberant space.

IS the present moment dividing lines
IS was completed in spring 2005 at the Center for Creative Technologies at Louisiana State University. The composition expands a recording of the word "is" to two minutes duration, and the bit patterns of the recorded voice stimulate a virtual percussion section.

S the future as synthesis of the past
S was completed in June, 2005.
The Taylor Series is a 40 minute work for alto saxophone, piano, computer sound and projected video. Phase 1 is a composition for saxophone and piano, which can be performed as a separate work.

Phase 2
Phase 2 is for saxophone, computer sound and video images. Most of the images are "phase-space" plots of the sound, which is a Csound simulation of the RCA Synthesizer.

Phase 3 (Seven Cartoons)
Phase 3 is a composition without instruments. When performed by itself it is called "Seven Cartoons."

Phase 4
Phase 4 is for piano, computer sound and video images, and is linked (overlapped) with Phase 5.

Phase 5
Phase 5 combines both performers with sound and image.
